Byron Bay is the Australian destination for surf enthusiasts world-wide. Several different beaches offer amazing surf sites for all ability levels. The seacoast is bejeweled with a quaint lighthouse and an old whaling village that became a popular haven during the 1960s hippie and surf counter-culture.
